Runespoor

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them has no shortage of snakey creatures.  Or equine creatures, but this time it's all about the snakes.

This one is a runespoor which, according to the book, is a three headed snake with black and orange stripes.  

The hardest thing about sculpting a runespoor was getting its pose right.  I wanted all three heads to be visible, and I felt like it wouldn't look as interesting if I sculpted it flat on its belly.  So here we have it reared up, but not coiled to strike.  More like it's curious about something.
